Statement of Faith

The Trinity:

God the Father:

God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. He is all knowing, all powerful, and all wise. God is love. (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 6:9; Romans 8: 14-15 and 1 Corinthians 8:6)

God the Son:

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. God loved us so much that He sent His Son to take the punishment for our sins. Anyone that calls upon His name and believes in Him will have eternal life. God did not send His Son to condemn the world but to save it. Jesus was born of a virgin, conceived by the Holy Spirit and lived a sinless life. He died and rose three days later. He now sits at the right hand of His Father. Through His death He made atonement for our sins and eternal life possible.  (John 3:16-17; John 1:34-35; John 1: 1-18; Romans 3: 23-26 and Romans 8: 34)

God the Spirit:

The Holy Spirit is the Divine person of the Trinity. He empowers us to be leaders, teaches us, guides us, He empowers us to be witnesses. He lives within us and opens our spiritual eyes. The Holy Spirit is involved in our Salvation. (Judges 3:10; John 14:26, 16:23; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:11, 15:16; 1 Corinthians 2:10 and Titus 3:5)

Salvation:

Salvation is a gift from God and cannot be earned. Receiving Salvation means we must turn from our sins. Salvation is simple and personal, and includes gaining a relationship with God. Salvation is belief and trust in Jesus Christ. Salvation is by Gods grace alone. Our Salvation was obtained by Jesus’ blood (Romans 6:23, 10:8-10; Acts 2:37-38; John 14:6, 3:16; Ephesians 2:1-9 and 1 Peter 1:18-19)

The Bible:

All Scripture is God-breathed and inspired by God. The entire Bible, in its original form is the inerrant Word of God, without error or contradiction. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; Luke 24:27; John 5:39 and Romans 15:4)

Man:

Man was created in Gods image. All man has sinned and falls short of God’s glorious standards, but God sent His son Jesus to take our punishment. WE are made right with God when we believe that His Son Jesus shed His blood giving His life for us. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23-25)

The Devil:

Satan is the deceiver who enticed man to sin. He comes to kill, steal, and destroy and is destined to eternal punishment. (Genesis 3; John 10; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 20:10)

The Great Commission:

Jesus commissioned the church to go into the world and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. God works through Christians as an instrument of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 25:31-46, 28:18-20)
